I live in the terminal, and I wanted AI there too. Not in a browser tab, not in an Electron app. chai brings contextual AI assistance to the command line for developers who’d rather type than click.

Written in Python to keep iteration fast and dependencies light. It does a few things well rather than trying to be an everything-app. The focus is on practical utility: ask a question, get an answer, keep moving.
